How to use the Timeline

This timeline displays a list of events in chronological order.

The timeline consists of 4 categories; Cultural Heritage, Natural Heritage, Built Heritage, and National History.

You can move the timeline left and right by:

• using the scrollwheel on a mouse
• clicking the left mouse button down and dragging left and right
• using the left and right cursor keys on a keyboard

The small bar with green dots at the bottom serves as a visual means to show where there are events in time.
Clicking the mouse anywhere in the small bar will move the timeline to that period in time.

Events of interest appear on the timeline, appearing as titles, dates, and a summary. Some will also have an image.

Clicking on an event will open a small window with more information and images in some cases.

The timeline can also be searched by clicking the magnifying glass icon located in the bottom right of the timeline.

Search results will show as green dots in the small bar at the bottom of the screen and relevant events will show whilst others will be faded out.
