Wye Valley Youth Rangers are recruiting now, and running free taster sessions for youngsters interested in wildlife, rural skills and conservation.
Youth Rangers helps young people aged 14-18 years living locally to gain experience through a programme of activities including - heritage interpretation, bushcraft, ecology, rural skills and hands on conservation work.
Thursday 25th / Friday 26th October
Learn a mix of bushcraft skills and spend time with nature to observe, explore and identify species in the woodland above Biblins Youth Camp.
Saturday 27th October
Spend the day exploring Darkhill ironworks, a former industrial site and now a wildlife haven. This is a day to get stuck into raking, cutting and scything the grass and overgrown vegetation on the site, improving the habitat for wildlife.
