Learn how to record Oral History accounts from the Forest of Dean. The course will equip participants to use and record oral histories and provide practical guidance and demonstrations. It will include discussions on the strengths and weaknesses of oral history and the use of oral sources in historical research. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing study of occupational histories in the Forest or develop their own projects after they have completed the training. No background knowledge is necessary, and all equipment is provided. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
