Youth Ranger Support

Youth Rangers are on the hunt for a new regular volunteer to support their sessions.  They would particularly like a female replacement (to maintain the mix within the small team of volunteers).  The volunteer needs to be active and interested in the outdoors.  They need to be easy going with a good sense of humour and ideally some experience (if older) or (if younger) a desire to gain experience.

The sessions are usually once a month on a Saturday and they need a reliable person who can come out each time.  Sessions involve being out all day with the young people.  The volunteer needs to feel happy to take part in all of the activity that includes: kayaking, rock climbing, caving, drystone walling, so it is physical and challenging and they need to be comfortable with that so that they can encourage youngsters to step out of their comfort zones.  The volunteer would be put through First Aid and Safeguarding Training.

The volunteers get to take part in all the exciting activities at no cost to them!
