Pine Martens

Project Pine Marten is a Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust partnership project (not Foresters' Forest) which aims to restore a pine marten population to the Forest of Dean and Lower Wye Valley.

Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust are looking to train volunteers in basic pine marten monitoring skills, such as scat surveying and camera trapping, along with more practical skills such as putting up den boxes. These volunteers will form part of the core monitoring group who will help undertake annual surveys. This training series will be accompanied by talks (most likely online) about pine martens, their ecology and the research surrounding them.
